Client Brief
A black-belt BJJ coach wanted to share his knowledge and build an online business with short form videos, and needed a logo for his new Instagram.

Research & Themes
Comparative analysis of BJJ existing logos, sports logos, and logos using the theme ‘bite’

Design Rationale
The black ring around the outside signifies the coach’s black belt knowledge, and the respect he has earned. Typeface chosen for the sporty look and width to create a pleasing balance. The middle B is bold and italicized, creating dynamism and power. A bite has been taken out of it but still clearly reads as a B.
