Overview
Swae was founded as a platform to empower those that do not have a voice and to disrupt the current decision making system.
Its aim is to empower those at the bottom of a large group by helping them pitch ideas well and more than that, help those in the decision making role to easily sort through these ideas to get to the best solutions. It’s a suggestion box driven by artificial intelligence and blockchain technology.
“Nowadays people have an expectation to be heard.
So we want to make that hearing constructive and useful”
Soushiant Zanganehpour, swae founder
Goals
Improve Usability
Conduct market research, make users feel comfortable using this new method
Build an individual app and not a widget since the platform is complex
Figure out how to collect user input in the least tedious way for the user
Allow other individuals to join on a topic/pitch and collaborate

Challenge
Unfamiliarity & Content Overload
This type of decision-making is quite new and unfamiliar
There weren’t many models to compare to
There are a multitude of functions and a few end users to consider
Difficulty in translating a human facilitator ( key to productive discussion) into an AI
Required questionnaire to collect pitches was long and repetitive
Solution
Onboarding, Site Hierarchy, User Controls & Styled UI
Since this concept was so new, we designed an onboarding system that would guide the user
Using card sorts, we were able to find a pattern of organization that made sense for our questionnaire
Since it’s a data gathering tool, we designed it like filing folders to organize the content heavy app, using people’s familiarity with files to up trust and usability
We also created drafts and auto-save features in order to minimize data loss, allowing users to free up brain space, and gain more user control through essential navigation buttons
Combining all of our testing results we created a new intuitive site map
